Bed help......69 LWB
Im trying to figure out what to do with the bed on my '69 Longbed. Minimal rust but the floor is sagging between supports and has some dents. Is there anyway at all to straighten that out or must it be replaced?
If replaced, is it doable to install wood instead?

Im in the same boat, Mine is sagging at the rear of the bed between the crossmembers. Look at GMC pauls.com, they have patches for either the front half or the rear half of your bed. Mines a shortbed and is gonna cost me 200 bucks plus 125 shipping for the half that i need. Sure theres alot more work involved But it still beats 900 dollars for a complete floor. Heres the link

If you need to spend a grand you probally could do the wood bed, supports headboard route. But if you think you can live with it get it media blasted straightned what you can put a nice fresh coat of bed liner spray in it or a rubber bed mat.

I was there before...not sure what I would recommend to you if you were asking, but bought from mar k and sure it was pricy, but it looks so fin bad ass. On the other hand, I do not want to haul anything now. But it is a classic pickup though, so I won't want to.
If you are going to haul things, I would say steel is better. |

I've got a rust free, less than 10 dents, almost no pitting steel bed floor. Original paint. $500 negotiable.
