What headers can I use?

I am looking at putting headers on my 64 with a mid 70's 350. From what I have found the Hooker 2452 headers will work, but is there anything else? I am just trying to find all my options. Thanks!

Re: What headers can I use?

Jeg's has some Hedmans that will fit our trucks. I think I'm putting a set on this winter when I change the exhaust.

Re: What headers can I use?

Hedman #69260 are designed to fit the '63-'66 trucks. You can also use Hedman #69090, which are designed for later modek trucks, but work just fine on the '63-'66's. With the 69090's there is the possibility of slight interference with the clutch bellcrank, but it should be easily taken care of.

Re: What headers can I use?

i used the 69090's they hang a little low for slammed trucks but otherwise a perfect drop in from the topside and no clearance issues with my auto tranny

Re: What headers can I use?

Headers for a 68-71 camaro and chevelle will fit with a little trimming to pass side frame rail. Might have some issues with a power glide and manual trans. I have them on mine and they fit with very little underhang.

Re: What headers can I use?

I ended up getting the Hooker 2452. They were 16 gauge vs 18 gauge of the hedman, so we will see how they work out. Thanks for the replies!
