Re: black ball

Vacuum canister is what that be, by golly. It holds a reserve for the accessories and comes into play when you change RPMs on your engine. It allows some time for the vacuum to restore after putting more load on the engine, so that your A/C air does not change flowpaths.

Re: black ball

As far as I know that controls the vac. things the open the various doors inside the box to change where the air or heat comes out, like defrost, chest, floor, etc.

Re: black ball

I have a 1986 c10 and it has one connection...now I see the line going into the cab so how does it hookup with one connection on the ball? Do I need a tee and/or a check valve?

Thanks,
Alan
