Trucks gone for paint!

Well its been a long winter of body work lol but the truck is 100% rust free! I finally got the truck off to paint! The paint guys really seem to know their stuff, they said they'd get it straight as a dime and line up all my panels! hopefully it turns out nice. Thanks to everyone who answered my many questions, I'm sure there are going to be many more. I just picked up a strong running 350 for it and cant wait to get it on the road for crusin this summer.
here are some pics:

Re: Trucks gone for paint!

I just took mine in on Monday. Funny thing is, after working on it every day for a while, it seems strange not not to have it on the driveway. Luckily, I have lots of other projects I ignored that are way behind now.

You are going to get yours back a lot sooner than I will.

well, paint shops take on the bread & butter jobs, (fender Benders) that they can whip out in a week and get a good chunk of $$$ from the Insurance Companies... so mine took a back seat to those Jobs, and he dicked around on top of that, instead of painting my truck...
I hear that happens a lot... the fender benders taking front stage and jobs like mine being put on the back burner...

look up paint prison on google lol

Re: Trucks gone for paint!

hope to have some pics to post in the next couple of days on mine. been lurking here for some time. My painter said the same stuff " we are going to get all the guys on it right away, and you should have it back in a week to 10 day max". That use 5 weeks ago, but i actually just came from there and we laid out the stripe line that will divide the two main colors.

Thats what ultimately happens when you go with a "trendy" paint job. Whats hot today is old next year. Besides, it was painted in 2k, I would think anything besides a solid primary color will look dated after 10+ years.
