84 Chevy lm7 5.3 swap

I'm a 17 year old high school teenager, taking the hard way out in building my own first truck. Not much experience with American vehicles, just recently moved here from South Africa and instantly fell in love with the 73-87 year gm trucks, so I bought a 1984 Chevy k10 with a 4in lift on it( looks like its been lifted 6in) in the front, I've bought a 2005 5.3 vortec(60000mi) from Spaulding auto parts here in Spokane WA. Buying a stage 1 rebuilt 4l60e from a local guy. I've seen a lot of awesome info on here, ganna need the help! Here are some pics

Well hopefully after everything is installed and a supercharger, the front won't even be touching the ground

Did you get a 4x4 4l60e? If not the output shaft will have to be changed.

Re: 84 Chevy lm7 5.3 swap

Got my new transmission! had to wait an extra 2 days but it finally got to me! a local guy here rebuilt it and put a correction kit in it to ensure proper oil flow, got the rebuilt HD torque converter too, got the whole package for $950, not the best price but hopefully paying the extra buck will be worth it!

Re: 84 Chevy lm7 5.3 swap

Does anyone know the dimensions of the bolts used to bolt the transmission to the engine? Or should I just call the Chevy dealer?

Re: 84 Chevy lm7 5.3 swap

so i went to the chevy dealer to get the fly wheel to torque converter bolts, and im pretty sure he gave me the bolts used to attach the flywheel to crank

anyway i found the bolt that were used to attach the torque converter to my old 700r4, and they worked perfectly, put some loctite on them and put them in. this is how i did it
