4x4 Skid Plates

I found one more skid plate powder coated. April 24,

I have sold all my skid plates. If there is enough interest I will see if I can have more manufactured. Drop me note on this forum.

I have for sale some 4x4 Skid Plates. They are reproductions that were made using an original one for a pattern. I have about 15 for sale.

Price is $95.00 plus shipping(CONUS).

I also have several powder coated sets that were done in satin black. Add $28.00.

It does require another x-member for mounting.

I accept MO, Checks or PayPal.
Please include shipping address

As far as I know the skid plate is the same for K10 and K20. May someone else can pipe in. I will see if I can find the pics I took several years ago.

Re: 4x4 Skid Plates

I checked my x members and none are for 1967-72 trucks. I must have sold them last year.

Re: 4x4 Skid Plates

Please tell me what I need to know to find a cross member on my own.

Will another one like the one currently on my K20 in front of the transfer case,
also fit behind it and work with the skid plate?

Will both in front of and behind the TC from a K5 work?

Will anything from a K10 work? From a C10?

Thanks,
Slowcrawl

Re: 4x4 Skid Plates

I will take 1 non-powder coated skid plate shipped to 40353 please.

To help answer previous question on cross members. Any factory correct GM 1971-1972 K5, K10, K20 series transfer case cross members will work for rear skid plate cross member. From my experience the only difference will be that the factory rear skid plate cross members do not have the upper frame rail attached bracing. The extra upper braces on the factory transfer case cross members will be riveted from factory and can be removed to use for rear skid plate cross member. There may be other years that will work but I'm not sure on them.

That's exactly what I did. But is the K10 frame the same as K20? If they are different then the x member needs to match the truck it will be used on(K10 or K20)

Was the skid plate a option or standard equipment?
