Question TH350 - Tail-shaft ???

I need to replace my trans I have a friend that has a fresh rebuilt one I can buy but the tail-shaft on his is 9". Mine is 6". Can i just change them over, or is that a bad idea for a novice mechanic such as myself?

Re: TH350 - Tail-shaft ???

hey cdowns, I know we've chatted before about the 200 4R, but i have another question to ask you if you don't mind.. I have found a 200 4R for sale at a really good price, it's out of a 86 Monte Carlo SS and it has the good three letter code "CZF" It does need rebuilt, so I am gonna have it done over winter so I can put it in before summer, I am gonna b moving to Florida myself, gulf coast side, in North Port, just south of Sarasota a bit, so the O/D will deff. b a good thing. Do you have any recommendations for a rebuild kit or any other parts, maybe a website or a manufacturer. any suggestions would be great. As for right now I just need to keep it going on the road, as it's my DD
