Aftermarket Steering Column Recommendations?

Working on my 63 c10. It uses a power steering box from a 1972 with the CPP kit. The bearings, turn signal switch etc are shot in my column. I was considering just changing out to an aftermarket column but it seems hard to chose the right one at the right price.

Anyone have recommendations? Ididit seems a little pricey but the ebay ones seem questionable.

Also, I noticed most aftermarket columns us the double D shape. How Would I mate that to the 72 steering box? Current rag joint just has provisions for a round shaft. Thanks.

Re: Aftermarket Steering Column Recommendations?

Changing the bearings and fixing the turn signals are pretty straight forward. Unless you want tilt or chrome, I’d consider rebuilding the stock column. There are several options for the rag joint and telescoping steering shaft. Borgesson makes some nice universal joints with dampening that really tighten up the steering box connection.

I went with a CPP universal 30". Black, tilt, no shifter.
