2002 2500HD Front Torsion

Does anyone know what the correct number of turns on the front torsion adjusters would be to level the front end of a 2002 2500HD 4x4 crewcab? A friend with the exact same truck said 6 turns and it hasn't affected his alignment...yet. I'd like a little more informed information. I want to be able to put 285 16's on and they will rub the stock-height wheel wells. A little rougher ride is not an issue nor is a re-alignment. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

I suggest that you don't do it. It will cause you more problems than it's worth. If you crank up the torsion bars it will cause a lot of wear on the front end components mainly the upper ball joints. Just find a 2 inch lift kit for it and save yourself a lot of future trouble.
