Vacuum Issue?

no defrost on 87 r10, kinda here a hissing in the cab when i switch controls to the defrost. i assume its a vacuum line but not sure where to check. i don't wanna just start tearing things apart. is it behind the glove box? or do i have to get behind the the the switches? also, can some one tell me what this vacuum line went to in the picture. someone just capped it off. thanks again...

Re: Vacuum Issue?

ok, started getting into the dash, a couple issues. seems like where the vacuum line plug into the back of the thermostat controls isn't completely sealing, hearing a slight hiss, if i push it in harder and hold it, it quiets down. also it looks like a line is missing. is this for anything or not?
