i took the lights out of my gauge cluster when i took it apart to clean it, now some of them are loose when you turn them to lock them in nd they keep falling out, any ideas how to make them stay in?

id just buy a different cluster then, the nearest wrecker is an hr away if im going to make that trip it has to be for something more than 5 bucks lol was hoping i could them to twist out some how

All you need do is hit up your local NAPA AUTO PARTS or Carquest or whatever you've got over there in Canada (yeah I said OVER THERE & not UP THERE... I'm next door to ya in Alaska) and get some replacement sockets like these shown below.

ECH LS6500

Attributes
Lamp Socket Hole Size : 1/2"
Socket Bulb # : 168, 194

Part: ECH LS6501

Attributes
Lamp Socket Hole Size : 5/8"
Socket Bulb # : 168, 194
and get the 168 bulbs as they're a bit brighter than the 194's

we dont have a napa here, do you think im talking about the bulbs? im refering to the plastic peice the bulb goes in that goes on the back of the gauge cluster they are black

Had to edit my post up above refresh and re-read it please. These sockets should be readily available at any of the bigger auto parts stores. They may have to cross referance the part numbers I provided you (NAPA's #'s)
I'm pretty conident you'll find them.

yea all we have in town here is canadian tire and they arent very useful, we do have a couple other parts places though i could try, i didnt think of this before but maybe i could possibly bend the two metal tabs out a bit

Have you tried bending the connection tabs up a bit to create more pressure when twisted in? I bet that would hold them tighter.

bend them , and check for the little raised lock dot around the hole

I've bent mine and it worked perfect.

bent mine too....Also check the circuit board to see if any of the connections are broke...I had to drop a bead of solder on my right blinker to fix the connection
