Need Quick help!

About to purchase one or the other and no clue what to do..

2006 ls2 (out of trailblazer) with 4l70 trans 70,000 miles complete minus computer for $3000

Or

2002 5.3 with 4l60 75,000 miles complete $1300..

Don't want to spend the extra money but is the deal too good to pass up?

Re: Need Quick help!

What are you gonna put it in? Seems like a no brainer to me, go with the 5.3, and spend the rest of the money you'd spend on just purchasing that LS2 on getting your project complete. There's always more little things here and there that you have to get during one of these swaps that really add up in no time. I figured that I'd get mine together within a certain amount, and thing's just keep popping up, and before you know it, your way more into it than you intended.

Re: Need Quick help!

Key word is "Complete". the money and time you spend are hard to compare with complete package ready to go.

Re: Need Quick help!

A 06 Trailblazer SS will have a ECM & a TCM, They will need the same VIN flashed into them if you buy new.

Thats a fair price for a LS2/4L70E combo.

Get the LS2!!!!!

I couldnt pull the trigger on the ls2 (im to cheap)...I ended up talking him down on the 5.3 (could pass up the price).. Now i can stop asking questions on what to buy but rather what the heck to do now...

Re: Need Quick help!

good call, theres nothin wrong with 5.3's, if your concerned about power, did you see one of the others posts of that dude spanking the c5 vette with his turbo 5.3? those kits are a lot cheaper than I imagined.
