LMC Fuel tank sending unit

I have a 20 gal LMC fuel tank that mounts behind the rear axle. I think the sending unit is bad. Guage always reads empty, but disconnect the wire at the sending unit and gauge goes to full.

Question is, is there some other readily available sending unit that fits these tanks? I've heard it is a 'blazer' style tank. Just wondering if I can get a replacement sender at local parts store instead of ordering another one from LMC.

Re: LMC Fuel tank sending unit

Do you have the 0-90 ohm or 0-30 ohm sender. I had the problem with my kit. It is the same but not bought from LMC and when I took the sender back out some how the weld to the power wire broke. I could not get it to weld back on so I just drilled it out and used a brass bolt. It is not really a wire but it is a metal band. Take out the sender and make sure that is still attached.

Thank you - will give that a try
