Do this little mod and you can't blame ESC anymore 'cause it bypasses it.

What's gas mileage? LOL

If it makes you folks feel any better my 1962 Starfire gets around 8 MPG.
You can watch the hand drop on the guage when on it hard.

That's 100+ octane too!!!

My truck;
305
700R4
2.79 gears
14-15 mpg

454, Turbo 400, 3:42 single wheel 14 bolt. 32" tall tires. 6 to 8 MPG on the highway running empty & about 75 mph. 4 to 6 MPG pulling a trailer or empty running 80 MPH (3000 RPM). This is with 92 octaine fuel. dual 20 gallon tanks, 4 miles to the gallon, $2.29 a gallon gas, You can watch the fuel guage move & your wallet empty as you cruise. Do I win?

1973 350 (Orig motor, maybe rebuilt once.)
TH-350
3.07 rear gears
235/75r-15's (I think )

Get 8-10mph on average, depending on how hard I throttle the truck or what grade of fuel I put in.

Have gotten 13mpg a couple of tanks ago, but that was before I went out and tinkered with the carb.

Boy, this is really discouraging. Makes the little V-6 look pretty good. But like it was said earlier, "gas mileage??" I think I can live with the added power of the 350. I'll let everyone know what I get with it, too.

Engine/Motor: Crate 350 (Mexico)
Transmission: sm465 (4-speed manual w/ granny )
Rear Gears: unknown at this time
MPG City: 10-14
MPG Highway (60-70 mph): 11-16 (estimate)

My MPG may be off by a bit. My gauge has a bounce to it due to the f*cked up tranny connection, so Im sure my miles traveled is off some.
My fuel level gauge is also not hooked up, so I get gas roughly every 70 miles or so just to be safe.
