reverse taillight?

My truck came with colume shift and PO put an auto floor shifter in it. Now my ?. where is the switch/mechanism that activates the reverse lights when the truck is in reverse located at? in the colume? on the transmission? or somewhere else?

What kind of trans is it BTW?

The three speed trucks have the backup light switch on the column in the same location as the column shift automatics. The switch is different as it does not have the neutral safety switch built in.

Take a look on top of the column close to the firewall to see if the switch or wiring is there.

I don't know if all three speed manual trucks came with backup lights as I believe it may have been an option.

Use to be a manual Transmission, cluch pedal has been cut off just below the pivit point. Now it has a TH350 with floor shift without any Safety-Lock-Outs. Any suggestions on how to make them work while truck is in reverse would be appreciated.

they were standard on all 04 and 34 models 67 - 72
