El Scorcho finally painted !!!!
It's been a long way from a rough flatbed Texas marina utility truck to this. It's all done in Kirker Paints with Bright Orange Metallic Base covered in Atomic Orange Candy and Spectra Clear. The sun really brings out the orange metallic, while in the shade the candy really gives depth. The name, BTW, was on the truck when I bought it. Somehow it still fits. The bed is a stepper and will get painted next week.

Re: El Scorcho finally painted !!!!
I know it will take a lot longer to put it together than it took to take it apart.

Re: El Scorcho finally painted !!!!
Now it's just like a kit car. I've got all the parts, as scattered as they are. Just need to put it all back together.

Re: El Scorcho finally painted !!!!
The engine is a 3970010 350. The entire front suspension, crossmember, etc came from an 81 and those are the holes that were there. The towers are from the 68 frame. Should the 68 350 mount further forward? I had the engine, transmission and driveshaft in and it all fit. If I mount here, will the differential fit?

Re: El Scorcho finally painted !!!!
The factory V8 location for those towers are in the front holes. The 6cyl. towers mount in the rear 2 holes, make sure you got V8 towers also.
If not I got aset we can work a deal on. Best of luck!
