how to plumb GM hydroboost to a rack and pinion

I have a '84 burb with stock hydroboost. Years ago the diesel motor was swapped to a 350. I am changing out the front suspension to a PBFab or Porterbuilt system. Can you plumb this hydroboost to a power rack and pinion steering rack? If so, what's the correct connection?

Thanks.

Yep..hydroboost will work with r&p..hook it up just like the r&p was the old steering box...
I'm not sure what rack your using but the pressure line from the hydro will go to pressure side of the rack..other side of rack goes to reservoir...and if you dont have one now would be a good time to add a inline cooler..I'm sure youll need custom lines as well...

Re: how to plumb GM hydroboost to a rack and pinion

Thanks for the info and quick response. I've tried a few short-timed searches and came up short.

The rack & pinion came from CPP when I ordered my Porterbuilt front kit in 2014. Looong story on why I'm just getting to the point for installation but here I am. Not sure of the vendor but I believe it's a Mustang II r&P.

They sent me a few custom hoses. That's when they thought I had a standard power steering pump setup (which at the time I did, it was going to go on a '85 truck I had). Maybe I can get something to work. If not I'll measure and get some custom hoses.

Re: how to plumb GM hydroboost to a rack and pinion

Thanks a lot. I will gladly take all the info I can get before I begin installing. I'm hoping to be to that point in a week or so. Having to work on it outside (a bit cold), and when I have time. Family first.
