?Feels like body is sliding

When I go around a turn and hit a bump it feels like the rear end of my truck is sliding to the outside. I have a 3/4 ton with coils. Everything is tight and the bushings on the tracking arm are good. Is this normal? Suggestions?

Thanks

Ro

Cab Mounts?

Is your cab/bed/radiator support mount rubber in good shape? Maybe, if you look under the truck, you can see if it's been slipping around. Other than that, maybe you can have someone follow you when you go around a corner to see what they can see...

Or is the truck just sliding when it hits the bump? Mine does that on a couple of faster corners on the edge of town, if I go kinda fast and hit the bump, my rearend jerks. I say it is getting a little weight off the tires and the laws of physics say my truck will want to go in the same direction it is currently in unless acted upon by a greater force (being my tires). It bounces, and swings out a little bit.

Now if it feels like your sliding the whole time around the corner, you may have bad bodymounts or suspension components.

I've decided to change my trailing arms. They are in questionable shape. Also, the rubber is over 30 years old, but I think the rust is still holding everything in place lol. The rubber actually doesn't look that bad. I know the tracking arm bushings are good because I had some poly ones made and replaced them not long ago.
