Rusty cab mounts?

I was wondering if a cab with rusty cab mounts is worth reparing or how dificult is it to do ? is replacing the cab a better way to go?

If it really is just the mounts, its easy. But its never that easy, now is it? Before beginning, make sure you find all the rusty spots, and you really know exactly how rusty the thing is.
There is often more rust than you see. Not always, but often.

The cab supports in themselves are not that difficult to repai/replace..Cut out the old, in with the new..But like jku says, lookit the whole thing carefully.
Ask yourself how much work are you really going to have to do..Are you a good welder? Almost anything on these trucks can be replaced, but you'll find that floors, supports, rockers and cab corners is a big project to get right..
If you're not comfortable with that, you'll find it way easier to put
a different un-rusty cab on there..Good luck finding one..

Thanks guys thats kinda what i thought, but around here i hear that its expencive to have some one do it and if you do it your self its hard deal with it getting inspected and getiing road legal

My cab mounts need replaced, and I am going to do it myself. If you do a good job and take your time, the inspector won't even know it was done. Or, get it inspected first, then do it. There are slip-on cab mounts that slide over the old ones, and they would be easy to do. If the old ones are really bad, I would go with the OEM type replacements. It would be good practice for your welding skills. No one can see it under there, so if it's not the best, no one will know.
Finding a good cab in Canada will be nearly impossible. And going to get one from the Southwest U.S. will be very expensive. I would fix the one you have if it's salvageable.
