Broke the truck......

We went out to the local 1/8th mile track to see what the new set up would do and on the first pass......we broke the output shaft on theTREMEC. So much for bullet proof?
The last pic is the motor. Just in case anyone was curious as to what we were running.

One more. Can't leave out one of the most expensive tires we've ever purchased

I think it's just over 500lb/ft of torque now. I don't think the TREMEC is gonna argue that either. The low speed torque is just crazy.

Re: Broke the truck......

Just might have to try that combo. Is that a B&M supercharger and what type of carb is it.

It's a Magnuson 122HH blower and a Holley blower carb.

Thanks for the info. Does that fit under the hood? I edited, I see that it does fit.

Yeah, but that's why it has that dinky air cleaner. I don't think it can get much closer though.

Cool! (Or cool as broken parts go....Well, you know what I mean...... )

Is that yoke twisted or is that just the pic making it look like it is?

Gotta love forced induction!

Re: Broke the truck......

Tremec was the weak link. That bottom end torque and truck`s weight was more than that thing could handle...obviously.They say those aren`t near as strong as the musclecar Muncies and Saginaws.

Re: Broke the truck......

turbos are usually a little easier on the drivetrain but will probably cost more to change over to a good system for your truck.
