I am looking for a mint "big block air cleaner, heat riser tube and air spacer" for a 402 BB. My truck is a 70 but I am not sure if they are all the same. Thanks

hi 70 have another good air cleaner ass. and air spacer needs cleaning and paint no tube thou , can media blast and paint if interested will take 50 as is or 65 painted thanks jimmy

Thanks...I'll keep you in mind. I am hoping to find a complete assembly that won't need painting. I might be looking for a needle in a hay stack but hey...if one doesn't look one can't find.

All of the breathers and spacers for a 4bbl carb are the same from 69-72, big block or small, they use the same part number for both assemblies. The riser tube is the hard parts and the manifold shield is impossible to find in good shape, good luck in your search.

Did the 70 come with a manifold shield? By the way...thanks for the info.

In order to have the tube you have to have the shield or it will not have a place to bolt to. The shield simply bolts over the drivers side manifold and the tube sits on top and attaches by way of a sheet metal type screw. Down side most rusted to nothing because a) they are thin and b) the design traps moisture. The last tube I bought was alone $60 and it was in just o.k condition, a good tube will go for at least $100 and a nice one will bring more. The shield is worth what ever a person is willing to pay if in good shape as it is one of the hardest parts for a big block to locate in good shape.

The spacer was different if you had a high rise intake. It was shorter so you could close your hood

This is what you will have a hard time finding as 71 Super said. I looked for 2 years. The one in the pic I sold on Ebay. Good Luck

How high of a high rise are you talking about? The stock 402 intake is flat, and the taller 396 version is only little taller than it at the base plate of the carb (less than 1/4 inch) the riser is the same, so unless you are using a tall deck or a tunnel ram you will have no problems......

I have an NOS spacer, near perfect stove, and near perfect pipe available for a '72 big block (don't know if all years are the same). Someone else has pointed out that the air cleaner and spacer are the same for all 4-barrel carbs. Send me a PM for details and pics.
