no more stalling problem

well after about 6 months or more trying to figure out the problem to why i cant go past 55 mph i fixed it today... it happened to be the secondaries were not opening they were stuck shut.. i fixed that myself and took it out on highway and had no problem reaching 80 mph.. then went from a dead stop at the start of on ramp to the interstate and then floored it and hit 70mph real quickly without no hesitation.. so i wanna thank all yall for the helpful hints to what it was

Re: no more stalling problem

Thats cool to know you finally got it running good, I was wondering myself what your problem was. It's always good to know how a problem is solved just incase you here about someone haveing a simular problem, you can give them some idea of where to start looking to fix their problem. You should be carefull driving on a suspended license & all they can take your truck if cought. I dont know about where your from but here in Cali they can take your truck for up to a month and even give you a hefty fine and maybe some vacation time in a place you would never want to be..

Re: no more stalling problem

i didnt drive. my girlfriend was the driver.. i was riding shot gun.. driving on my suspended scares the poop outta me.. my friend got his license taken away for a month and was caught now he wont get it back for like 3 years cuz he was caught three times on a suspended.... but all i did to fix the problem was i started out tucking wires away and cleaning the engine bay up from wires i didnt need.. cut out extra wires i didnt need and such and was like hey i wonder if i take apart the choke to get to the secondary piece that holds the lever or whatever its calle dim sure u know what im talking about.. took all that out.. wiggled the lever and then put everything back together.. also noticed on my starter that i had a loose connection didnt know if that could be it either so i pulled starter off and looked over it and put that back up and started it up and sat in my driveway had it in drive foot on brake and gave some gas.. and it had a lot more torque in my opinion.. so i called my girlfriend over asked to see if she wanted to take the truck out with me for a cruise so she hopped in driver seat i hopped in passenger and im like lets go get some gas and head on the highway.. then i was like hit it.. she hits the gas and im like tell me when u hit 70 she looks over and gives me a high five.. then im like keep it floored a bit more then she let off at about 80 or 85 im like sweet!.. then i had her get off at the next exit.. made sure nobody was comin.. then right when we turned on the on ramp we stopped.. then i had her punch it then i was like its got a shift kit and shifts right at 70 into the last gear.. so i was like keep it floored all the way til u hit 70.. and bam we hit 80 like it was nothing.. so im glad somehing that small was all the problem because i was actually getting tired of messin with it and tempted to take it to a shop.. but its all good now.. didnt cost me a dime to fix it..
