1969 Interior “Saddle” Spray Paint
Hi guys, I ordered a pair of dash vents for my 1969 c10 which arrived in black color.
I’d like to spray them saddle to match the rest of the dash before I install those vents. Can anyone recommend a quality GM saddle spray paint for a 1969? Thank you

I'll second that. I also need to paint a defroster vent saddle on my 69. A good matching paint would be awesome.

Just a suggestion- see if the 1969 Corvette Saddle tan is close or a match to the truck color. Corvette parts suppliers should be able to sell you an interior paint/dye to match.

Re: 1969 Interior “Saddle” Spray Paint
I have used the Colorbond LVP paint that LMC sells with great success. Albeit I was using the blue, but according to the label it is their own proprietary color and it matched excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to try any of the other colors they offer. They get crapped on a lot for some reason, but they seemed to have gotten this one right imo.

Kickass catalog, and easy ordering Always fast shipping, and rarely backordered Reasonable pricing on most of their stuff USED to offer free shipping on large orders. I took advantage of this a few years ago, and saved hundreds in freight on large parts.

My biggest takeaway I was trying to convey, was the demographic that will trash LMC and pretend that the rest of the parts market isn't selling the same thing. You know they have at least one of them catalogs laying around for reference diagrams too. I do think the owner cares about keeping the older stuff on the road, turning down many offers of selling out to larger corporations. Look at what Holley has done to a lot of the names they bought out. Brothers is soon to be a thing of the past, Detroit Speed is soon to be no more, etc. etc. Like them or not, LMC does have the most extensive catalog and if they go, it's going to be harder to track down some of those smaller pieces that no one else seems to have. Back to the original topic at hand, the interior paint. The blue color I used is a custom mix labeled Long Motor 67-72 Blue. It just stuck out to me that someone at LMC is at least trying to be correct. Trying to create a product that benefits the truck community and I just think that should at least be acknowledged.

Agreed. I have been a customer of theirs since the 90's. You won't see me crapping on them, as they carry some obscure stuff. I have learned my lesson with the body rubber parts and try to get NOS for that if available (I've been fortunate to still find them).

I’m still pretty new, what does NOS stand for?

Re: 1969 Interior “Saddle” Spray Paint
NOS are the factory made replacement parts sold in the years after the model year(s) in question.
They have original GM part numbers and packaging. Eventually, manufacturers stop producing replacement parts for their vehicles, and that's what has happened with our trucks. It's all re-pop parts now, except for the dwindling supply of NOS that's still out there in garages, sheds, storage, etc...

Re: 1969 Interior “Saddle” Spray Paint
I have used the OER Dark Saddle on seatbelts that I have restored for people. They have all said it was a perfect match.
