Re: axle

yes but you have to change a few other things. you cant just throw on a set of rear disks an call it a day. the master cyl. needs to be changed to a disk/disk set up plus change the proportioning valve

Re: axle

Worth it in what way?

Performance wise (daily driver): the production rear drums are sufficient. Most of the braking is done with the front on any vehicle, but in particular a pickup truck because of the minimal weight on the rear.

Performance wise (race truck): maybe, but still limited by the above weight distribution and dynamic realities

Visual impact: maybe - disc might be arguably more "attractive".

Only you can decide on your truck. My trucks all retain the drums on the rear.

Re: axle

I agree with Keith. If it ain't broke dont fix it. I have not had a problem stopping with a these trucks. I would spend the dough for something you could use.

Re: axle

I'd leave it drums they last a lot longer then disc and cheaper to rebuild vs rear disc and pads will be.

Re: axle

also converting to disc can be a pain fabbing up an e-brake that actually works
