Now you need that 80 psi Camaro oil pressure gauge to go in there so you don't peg the gauge all the time.

at least i know ive got 60 psi LOL Some times it comes alittle under 60 at idle if i shift it into gear!

If it takes you a while to find the 80 psi Camaro gauge you could just put the 80 psi sender into the engine and know the range on the gauge is revised.

I think you have to find a TPI car to get the 80 psi gauge.

great i will be on the look out for a tpi gauge!!! i did have one question for you i tested to fuel gauge before i fitted it and seamed to work but now it reads Empty anyway of checking to see if it the wiring or the gauge??? i know if something was wrong with the sending unit it would read full i think!????? now i know it got power coz if i move the needle it goes back to the same position !!!

Sounds like it is grounded out or left open somewhere in the sender wire. Not enough sleep to remember how it works right now. Zero ohms is empty and 90 ohms is full if I remember right so I think it is grounded out.

Pull the cluster out of the dash but keep it connected to the harness and see if it works again. Maybe something on the back is getting pinched or cross-connecting to another ground path.

right i have another gauge to try i can disconnect it at the relay in the engine get power from the battery the wire from the gauge and a ground if that works its gotta be behind the dash or the gauge on the truck!!!!!
