Thinking about bags: need some help

Ok,Well I started the forum with a 68 C10 but it turned out to be a rust bucket that was beyond repair. So I figured I cut my losses and start on something new.
Here it goes though, I am looking at a little newer year truck,more along the lines of a square body. I am wanting to bag it,but I called a couple of the vendors on the forum and a bolt kit is very expensive. I do own a welder but dont think I would trust myself welding in a c notch and bag cups and such.
Does anyone locally here weld that I can help me for some money?
I really also would like to know what is going to be a good kit? I am thinking about the ***************** kit if I have to weld? I would really like to lay it out,maybe just lay frame. Do a set of 22" wheels,something in black with a chrome lip and a nice olive color truck. Really I need some help with this. thanks guys

IMO either purchase a drop member, or fabricate a drop member. But I would stay away from z'ing the frame. my reason for that is a z'ed frame doesn't bring your wheel base in at all, so you gotta have the truck all the way up to turn. huge pain in the butt, plus it looks bobo. in the back, almost any shop that does suspension is going to have a kit on site, or just make their own. no biggie. but if you do decide to buy a kit, ask them for a list of everything that has to be changed or modified. like fuel tank, brake lines, electrical, all the little stuff you forget about till its too late. cause that sh*t adds up.

Whatever you decide, do some research for local fabrication/custom shops. I'd imagine there should be some near you. If you're looking to do a DM or use *****************'s raised crossmember they're mostly bolt on kits, and both porterbuilt and SD offer bolt on rear kits too. Minimal welding involved with either. Also, the front cups just sit in the lower control arm spring pocket, so no welding there if you decide to use stock control arms. If I were you I would give porterbuilt a PM and see what he can offer to you. Reason being, the truck that you want would be best served with his components. Best bang for the buck.

Its not cheap but a dm front and back will do everything you could want.The rear drop member is 1900 bucks will lay frame ride techs rear kit won't way frame and is 1800 bucks.Just don't do like half the mini trucks i have seen that are hack jobs.
