Looking for a 5 Lug or 6 lug posi rear for coil springs
Looking for a 5 lug 12 bolt coil spring rear with a posi unit installed. For my 1970 C10 longbed fleetside. Looking for 3.42 to 3.73 gears but will consider others. Prefer an eaton, auburn, or powertrax posi, but factory is better than nothing. Will consider a 6 lug posi for the right price
I have a stock 6 lug open rear with 373 gears complete with drums that will be for sale when i find a posi rear. Let me know what you have Last edited by VA72C10; 05-31-2008 at 08:28 AM. |

Re: Looking for a 5 Lug posi rear
I have two coil 5-lug posi rear's available (one 3.08 and one 3.73-Sold), but as stated earlier in this thread, I think our locations would kill any chance of a deal being made.
I will get the pics of the tach dashes this afternoon. Last edited by Classic Bowties; 05-22-2008 at 09:41 PM. |

Re: Looking for a 5 Lug posi rear
I just had my axles drilled for the 5x5 pattern. Think I used mouser or one of those axel companies, not sure, been awhile. But the 5x5 pattern will fit with the 6 lug pattern and I have had no problems, just an idea! Went 5on5 to match the front, disc off of a 71ish truck...

Re: Looking for a 5 Lug posi rear
I guess a 6 lug posi is an option as well and i could swap the axles so let me know what you have in a posi 5 or 6 lug.

Re: Looking for a 5 Lug posi rear
A couple days ago I took a 3.73 rearend in to have it looked at for something else and as a side note I asked him what it would cost to have him put a posi in and he quoted me about $500-600.

Re: Looking for a 5 Lug posi rear
If you can figure out shipping to 23112 i'd appreciate it. I would rather find a full rear, but will go this route if i don't find one as long as it will fit 373 gears
