Stagger Options?

I know this has been asked before, but I'm still curious since they generally got little response to them. I've seen the 18/20 stagger, but it seems too different to me from front to rear. I've even messed around with diameter and depth on Midnight Club Los Angeles, and I would like to have 1" smaller in the front along with a 1" lower drop on the front than the rear. It gets the hot rod "hiked" look, and keeps the rims the same size optically. I've also seen people use the same front and rear and then hike up the rear, but that creates the illusion and that backs are smaller than the front. I'd like to have 20x15 on the rear, but seeing as 19" tires are almost as expensive as 20" tires, I'd also like to keep tires relatively cheap for replacing. So my question is, just bite the bullet on price and get the look I want, or risk it to get the biscuit and got for something like a 17/18 stagger to keep tires cheaper?

Also, if I do run the 20x15 rim, would I have to modify my suspension at all since it's stock? I plan on doing so regardless since it's 32 years old to drop it a little, but will I have to make space for those mammoths on the rear?
