Re: Pics of 4" lift and 30" tires please

I don't have pics (sorry) but 30" tires will fit a non-lifted truck. 32" - 33" fit with a 2 1/2" lift, and a 4" lift will allow 35s. 30s with a 4" lift will look under-tired, kinda like the truck is on stilts. JMO but I wouldn't do it. For the record, I'm running 33/12.50-16.5s with 2 1/2" Softrides.

Re: Pics of 4" lift and 30" tires please

I have 31x10.5 or the metric equivalent 265/70/16s on my 98 with no lift, and these older trucks have a larger wheel well I agree it would look under tired with a 4" lift. I prefer a full wheel well anyway so I am a little biased anyway, but I would at least run 33s if you where going for a 4" lift. I am probably going to run 35s on my 71 if I lift it 4".

The second pic is 17 inch rims with 35s, the first pic is 17 inch rims with tires that would be closer to 30s. Hope this helps.

I'm curious what style truck you want to see this combination on. Is this on your '72 K/10 Suburban?

Re: Pics of 4" lift and 30" tires please

Why lift it? I ran 33's on my Jimmy with no lift. 33 14.5 Mickey T's and 8" rims. Only reason to lift a truck is to run a bigger tire which gives more ground clearance. Not entirely true I guess since it does help with approach and departure angles, but like mentioned above it'll look like stilts.
