Question Are the 67-72 LWB Beds the same measurements as 73-87 LWB?

http://www.truckstuffusa.com/molheavbedma.html

Ok....after doing a search for rubber bed mats and so far the best quality that I have found is at Truck Stuff USA. I did a search and there is limited info on this site and it was stated that the bed measurements for 67-72 and 73-87 are the same. I am going with the rubber bed mats verses a spray in bed liner or a platic bed insert. Reason...if you saw the LWB I just bought you would understand. Again I seek the advice from the great ones with knowledge greater than I!

When I bought my '70 lwb there was a plastic liner in it. It didn't fit well under the rails but the bottom fit on the bed. I pulled it out and put it in my '85 and it fit like a glove. So, I think a mat would fit close enough that it would pass.

I have a 73-87 mat in my 69. It fits good except there is a 2" gap around the back of the wheelwells. Hard to see it in the pics, but its the best I can do right now...

Like the others said, it will be a close enough match to say good enough.
When i first got the Longhorn it had a plastic drop in bead liner... only to cover the freeway exit sign they used as a floor. It didn't fit very good, but, again, as mentioned before, the bottom of it fit pretty decent.
Just, what ever you do, if the floor of your bed is woth saving, be sure to remove that mat a few times a year and clean out underneath it. They trap lots of dirt and crap that you haul, or, even dust if you don't haul things, and then when the water gets under there, it never dries out and causes rust.

Thanks for the feedback Longhorn Man...this will be used on the 72 LWB takeoff (see link) that will be put on my 70cst this winter. Because the bed is almost like new I do not want to use a spray liner or drop in bed liner. I won't be hauling much but I want protection for the bed. I just wanted to be sure the 73-87 were close enough to give me protection. Thanks Again .
