Hi Guys!I just signed up.As you can see I am an import guy who likes big wheels and drives a semi.I am thinking about buying a C-10.I have no idea about domestic cars or trucks.I am pretty much looking for a C-10 between the years of 1981-1987.Not sure what to look for.I know the 5 lug denotes the 2 wheel drive and, I would prefer that.I hear many people use the word 350.I am assuming cubic capacity /engine size.What should I look for when restoring a pick up?.
I can get head work done on my DETROIT 12.7 for about $2500.What's the cost of head work on these 350 engines?What about the trannies?Are they 3/4speed and do they cost that much to rebuild?
I am looking for a c-10 between $1500-$2500 and sink about another $3500 in restoring.This will include minor engine/head work,overall paint and wheels.Is this budget possible?
