Need some lift help please

just picked up a 90 GMC. It has 315/75/16 tires on it. I am assuming someone cranked the torsion bars up as it sits level and rides TERRIBLE. What do i need to do to the front end to fix this as i want to keep the tires and rims on it?? HELP!!!!

Re: Need some lift help please

lower the torsion bars back down and put smaller tires on it.

Re: Need some lift help please

what did you expect? you can lower the air pressure in the tires.

the right way to do it is to put a lift on it. it lowers everything so the a arms are in the right orientation.

or you can get fancy and do a solid axle swap.

Re: Need some lift help please

that only gives you maybe 2" of lift maybe a little more. a standard lift kit off the shelf will do it, but they start at 4" pretty much.

these are all the parts youd need.

Re: Need some lift help please

Yeap install a 4 to 6" lift kit on it or smaller tires.
But its a truck its not going to ride real smooth and if it does more then likely its not going to be able to haul much.
