Talking removed the leafs

i finally got around to the rear end of the truck today i ran new brake lines dropped the rear end and removed 3 of the 6 leafs from the leaf springs i figure it dropped about 4 inches i got big tires on there now so it doesnt look as good asa id like but its an improvemento yeah thanks crazy longhorn for answering all my questions

I have the same suspension and I want to do the same. Did you take out the overload leaf? How does it ride and how do you think the load capacity will be? Which leaves did you take out?

that's a great move to adjust the height, and if you need to increase load capacity, slap in some air bag helper springs. they are setup to bolt to the top of the leaves and work great to improve the ride and capacity.

Hey three of the four leafs on each side of my truck are broken and that is about the ride height I have! Hmmmm I bet your method is a little safer though than riding around on broken leafs!!!

i left the overload in it. also its got no shocks yet and its not on the road so i cant drive it

Im runnin 4 leafs on the longhorn......tossed the helper, & 3 leafs. The old truck rides nice......but not a hauler(2 3/4" tween the frame & axle......no bump stops). I also had to add a set of slapper bars to handle the wheel hop. I wouldnt think the helper spring would make it any stiffer , till its loaded.......or hit a mean pothole(I hate potholes, they grow like toadstools in Ill!)
