70 c10 project

This is a 58k pickup with some serious rocker rust. it does have a 4 bolt main high compression 70 small journal 350 though. so I had the motor pulled and a high performance rebuild done on it. it currently has the biggest cam avalible that is still semi-streetable and a noisy gear drive. I had the rockers/floor braces/partial floors/cab corners repaired. I have a 650 road demon, 700-R4, and blacked out grill surround/grill/headlights, front disk conversion, brake booster, lowering springs, and cool billet aluminum dash and glove box on it. it's been striped by Ripley's Old Skool of Olatha, KS. I have an under bed gas tank and a behind the tail light fill just waiting to go on.

Re: 70 c10 project

Nice work. It's amazing how all of these trucks rust in exactly the same areas!

Re: 70 c10 project

So I had some things done to the old girl: I had a billet aluminum dash and giove box door done. I had a beefed up 700R4 in with a deep pan, 4.5/5” drop, 5 lug conversion, disk brakes in the front, converted to power brakes, and the 18” Riddlers.

Re: 70 c10 project

Then I had a 71-72 grill shell powder coated. Bought a black billet 72 grill, and moved this turn signals behind the grill. Put LED turn signals on the core support.

Re: 70 c10 project

Looking good! Are you switching over to an electric fuel pump as well for the TPI setup?

Yep, just didn't see you mention it and saw that it was just a few months ago that you all put the Edelbrock pump in, so was curious .

Interesting. I've never seen one of these taken apart. Thanks for sharing.

Re: 70 c10 project

Do you have a plate for the EGR blockoff, or going to block it another way?

Re: 70 c10 project

Are you referring to the port in the middle of the manifold? I was gonna have Michael make a block off plate.

Yup. I bought a manifold once where the previous owner just caked it with silicone, so was going to recommend a plate of some kind instead .
