Hey Jeff.

Is this fan and spacer compatible with a 1968 327 with a short waterpump?
If so, I'm interested.

Not sure if compatible with 327, it is a stock 350 fan out of my 72 C10

I will get pics also of fenders when I figure out how to post them, says files is to big. they do not have cutouts for spare tire.

you can see some pics at http://www.mvpc.com/1972chevy.htm

the red fenders are still on the truck in the pics, I have not removed them yet for the paint shop.

Do the PS pumps have pulleys on them? I need the pulleys, only, but will buy the pumps to get them. Could you check the pulley numbers? I don't have my pulley number handy, but both are 72 350's with short water pump setups.

Thanks.

The ones that I am looking to replace are 3770509CE and 3993325DJ. Both are single groove, fit a straight shaft with a key, and are held on by a large nut. If your pulleys aren't mounted, could you measure the offset from the back of the pulley to the back of the hub and the pulley diameter? Both of my pulleys are the same dimensionally, but have different part numbers. Yours might work, but I need to know that before I buy them. If it's too much trouble to measure, I understand that, too.

Thanks.

Pulleys

Pulley Numbers are:

3925537DC 3/16 inch offset

and

3860457CV GM 1/2 inch offset

I measured from flat spot on back of pulley and eyed it to back edge of groove.

both are keyway and use large nut to hold on.

$15 each plus postage of $3 each

I think the 3860457CV may work. Could you lay a straight edge across the back side of the pulley and measure from the straight edge to the flat spot? That should take any "eyeballing" out of the picture. If it is close to mine, I'll buy it. I can always space things a little to get them to align.

Thanks.

Thanks for measuring. Mine are 5/8-inch and 13/16-inch; kinda makes makes you wonder "why so many different pulleys for the same engine..."

Thanks again.

Pulleys

I agree, I went through a frustrating time adding power steering to mine then getting the right pulley to work.
