'03 Silverado Seats into a '69.....Who's done it?

I just picked up a set of seats out of a 2003 silverado 2500 HD.

I have seen several people have used them over the years, but i have not seen anyone post up what it took to install them. Can someone share with me how they installed theirs? What would you do differently if you did it again? Any info would be appreciated.

Does anyone know where to find the replacement leather covers? The driveside bottom could use replacement.

i like those seats. the ones in my 2004.5 2500HD don't have a fold down middle and it is annoying as all heck. You don't really need to buy new covers. Find the right upholstery guy and they will change out the bad panels with new leather and vinyl material. I have seen them fixed for as little as $40. (and I picked up a set with a console and will be watching for any install hints to show up here as well.)

3 of the 4 pads work fine. the front outer on each side needs a spacer to touch the floor. underneath make sure you put some kind of plate so the bolt cant pull through. you do need to drill 8 new holes. wish mine had the center flip down.

I like the seats for the newer chevy for the exception of the shoulder mounted seatbelts. For me, my hotrod does not get belts....the advantage of being grandfathered in. I think if you have them you will be forced to use them

Re: '03 Silverado Seats into a '69.....Who's done it?

Thanks for the replies. I know of an upholstery shop near my house, i may go see what they can do.

I am not a fan of the shoulder belts either. I was looking for the older seats that did not have that feature but I found these for $150. Cant pass that up.

The pic 67ctener posted, i think, are the older seats i was looking for. And those seats look amazing. That console looks like the older console with the cup holders in it. I plan to have these redone one day and I will look into removing the shoulder belts.

I plan to get these in over the next several months. I will post pics and provide some install details when i do.
