Throttle cable / where to buy?

Well, my old truck had to get moved so I, hooked up a new battery, dumped 5 gals of fresh gas in and varooom, the throttle cable kinked in the middle. So shut it down quick. I got the truck moved but can't drive it (and I need to soon).

But I'm having a heck of a time locating the 21" cable with a ball end at the 2bbl carb. I found an online pic that looked like it but says it's for '71&72 350-400. 2wd. Anybody have a part number or seller #?

I searched but nothing definite. Thanks.

Re: Throttle cable / where to buy?

Thanks Bob. I went to the local NAPA and was asked to drive the truck to him, lol.

Re: Throttle cable / where to buy?

I bought the cable for my K20 from classic parts of America. It was like $20 if I remember right. Good quality and it fit perfect.

Re: Throttle cable / where to buy?

I bought part # 6264923 gm from Ebay two years ago. It was for my "71 c10
with a 350. The number might help your search.

Re: Throttle cable / where to buy?

Thanks Doug! I ordered one up. I am having tires installed next Tuesday so I should be road ready pretty quick. Famous last words lol......

I have to say that this poor truck gets ignored for a year at a time but starts up every time I stick a key in it.
