Re: 72 c-10 into 68
From what I understand only the inner fenders will swap between a 67/68 front end and a 69-72 front end. I'm sure others will chime in on this. I believe its been covered many times if you'll do a search also.

Re: 72 c-10 into 68
The inner fenders are the same throughout the production run 67-72. The core support is different for the 67-8 and the 69-72. So there will have to be a core support change along with the hood and fenders. Jim

I've only been told from this forum that all you need is the front clip and it all will work.
Also for the core support, the only difference is the headlight buckets. |

The core support is different, it has fasteners for the splash pan, only the 67/8 has a splash pan

Re: 72 c-10 into 68
You are correct. Forgot about that. But, if you're not going to run a splash pan (like myself), then you could use the 69-72 core supports with the only difference being the headlights

Hello, If i'm getting this right, you would need different headlight buckets.....which ones? The 68 buckets are a 1/4" off. Thanks.

Re: 72 c-10 into 68
That's correct. You'll need different headlight buckets if you are using a 69-72 core support. If you use the original buckets on a 69-72 core support with a 67-8 grille, your headlights will be off and not centered in the hole of the grille

Yep lot of stuff different , we need to write an article with parts diagram on this , making a 69 to 72 look like a 67 or 68 is about the most popular mod nowadays ,,,,,, im flattered LOL

Re: 72 c-10 into 68
I have a 67 hood, grill, and both front fenders if you are interested. They are in my dad's garage attic (hood is outside on blocks and under a tarp). Just PM me.

If you're going to use a 72 core support, as mentioned above, you won't be able to use the splash pan. |
