WTB: Correct th400 kickdown switch for 70 bb - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have a 70 cst big block 1/2 ton truck that is missing the carb mount kickdown switch for the th400. My question is did all 70 big block use a unique 4 barrel connector switch on the carb that had spark arrest. Are did some 70 have no spark arrest and use the more common carb mount 2 spade connectors. Can multiple people with 70 big blocks see what is original for me. Spark arrest type or non spark arrest carb mount switches. Thanks people.

The one on my 70 is the four pin type

Ok 71 super then I assuming it has the spark arrest. So what is extra in hardware that the spark arrest system consist of in 70 model ?

Here is picture of the bracket. $30 shipped. You might contact 70cst first I "think " he had a complete set left over from his build. If not I will be happy to sell the bracket to you. Harold

Ok thanks for the heads up I will check with him 1st and let you know. So did all 1/2 ton 70's come with tcs (spark arrest) and this 70 only kickdown switch? Anbody, know for sure?

The tcs is not in place on my truck, and no sign of the relays ever being on firewall, the switch is for sure a 70 only switch and is different from the two blade type typically found on earlier th400 transmissions

My 70 CST has a 4 spade kickdown switch, but only 2 of the spades are used. I thought all the turbo 400 kickdow switchs were the the same for 1970. Only the harness was different. One with TCS and one without. The 4 spade plug was used on both harnesses.

Thanks Roger please check if you do have the complete package. I you do save it for me and we will add it to my tab and parts list and will settle up when the 4-way vacuum manifold port comes in. Thanks
