Question about lower ball joint sizes

A while back I ordered a CLP-6370SWBK-6S from CPP for my 67 C10 and apparently the "6S" at the end means that the parts in this brake kit are actually cut for ball joints & tie rod ends for a 71-87.

I noticed that the ball joint taper is thinner, so then I ordered a CP4S9 spindle. This spindle has the original size ball joint taper.

Problem is / my tubular control arms are also currently pressed in with the 71-87 ball joints. So now I have two options:

* Purchase and press in 63-70 lower ball joints and use the original-size spindle
* Use everything as-is and accept the thinner taper on the lower ball joint

Option 2 is a ton less work, so my question is: should I be concerned at all moving to a smaller lower ball joint? Or just accept that my 67-70 has 71-87 front suspension and be happy that this new smaller ball joint is easier to source?

Thank you!
