Looking for someone to take on a winter project
I have a 70 SWB that had a 454/TH400 in it and I am swapping to an LQ9/T56. I no longer have a place to work on it. I need someone who has the space and time to take on this work, as I am going to have neither. I live in northern VA and would like to keep the truck as close to home as possible. It is in fair shape but certainly needs everything. Any suggestions as to a shop or individual that would like to do the work would be greatly appreciated.
Major Needs: Some rust repair Bed Floor - Steel ordered High Hump Trans panel - ordered Install LS engine - I have it Install T56 Magnum - not yet ordered I have a new complete wiring harness and tons of other parts for this project - I have not decided on VintageAir yet
70 C-10
Last edited by lowtechsupport; 10-16-2021 at 05:35 PM. Re: Looking for someone to take on a winter project
Try Hawkins body shop in Madison,Va. I know they do a bit in restorations. They’re about an hour to and 1.5 hours from you ya but I think the advantage would be price as you’re getting away from the city. The place, JL Fabrication in Harrisonburg, that bought out Bill, might be able to help or steer you in the right direction.
