powersteering pics?

Does anyone have a picture or 3 of a small block with power steering that they can post? I converted my sons 69 to a small block from a big block & I dont think the pump will fit the truck even with different brackets. His had the resevoir style tank. Thanks for any help...corn

Adapting the big block PS pump may be very difficult. I would suggest getting the pump and brackets for a small block to match the setup on your engine.

Since you changed out the engine it is also important to know if the engine has a short water pump or long water pump. It is posssible to end up with off-set pulleys when the wrong parts are used together. Piecing together power steering/pulley sets can be frustrating.

If you have a stock 69 small block engine with the original water pump then a picture or pictures can be posted.

Let us know what you have.

Not the best but these might help. If I were you I'd go with the Alan Grove bracket. The pump should be the same.

Thanks guys. I am running a long pump on it. I have a pump from my 84 but the hoses are the o-ring style & the steering box is set up for the inverted flare lines. Ill keep digging. Anyone need a big block (short water pump) steering pump?

Here is a pic of a power steering pump from the mid 70's on a sbc in one of these trucks. It is the for long water pump setup.

alf1096,

I use a program for pictures, "Camedia" and it is very easy with this program. It has an "Image Resize" which is used to decrease the pixal size. Sometimes I get rejected for oversize but it is a simple matter of redoing the size with the program.

The "Camedia" program came with my Olympus camera.
