Windshield and back glass

I need both but no one yet has them in stock. I've checked Classic Parts, Golden State Parts and Brother's, and the story is about the same. No delivery for 3 to 4 weeks, and, delivery charges to So Oregon as much as the glass, UNSATISFACTORY
Any ideas? Bob

Re: Windshield and back glass

You both should put the year of your truck in the signature line. Makes it a lot easier to figure out what you want. Sack54 has a54 with flat glass, very easy to replicate. Toymanbob has a tf with panoramic glass, that needs specific fit and finish. Repop glass fits halfassed, but junkyard glass is not available. Wait or pay shipping

Not sure that anyone makes the back panoramic glass

They are for sale on ebay for $330 delivered to your door. No idea of quality.

Re: Windshield and back glass

I just had glass put in my '49 and used Steel ( Sp?) The fit was great. My glass guy was impressed.

Re: Windshield and back glass

Have you checked with Bob's who are in Oregon? http://bobsclassicautoglass.com/

http://www.vendio.com/stores/bobscla.../catId=4317488

They are 156 miles North of you at Blanchly if they will let you pick the glass up in Person. That might depend on the state of paranoia in Western Oregon right now.

Have you checked with Bob's classic autoglass? They are in Blanchly 156 miles north of you west of Junction City.

Local full service glass shops might cost a bit more for the glass but you still should be able to order from them and if they can get it in on a regular stock order from their supplier you may not have to pay extra shipping.
