Threshold of the door?

Havent seen this truck yet, hopefully will be in good enough shape to pick up, and start a new project. Only thing I get as far as rust with out seeing it is this:
"What I was originally talking about was the piece on/in the cab of the truck "threshold" it seemed as if what you could see was around the silver piece."

I asked about rocker panels, but not exactly as knowledgeable as some of us are, but the only thing I can think of from this description would be a sill at the rocker panel, any other ideas? vin plate? I can't pinpoint this one...

Thanks,
Jared

Re: Threshold of the door?

Sounds like rockers. The silver piece may be the door seal plates. Heck, now I don't even remember the right terminology.

Re: Threshold of the door?

Yeah, threshold threw me off... The way I see it its gotta be the rocker or the door sill (kinda the same thing right?). I think I'm going to go with that when coming up with an offer. probably "needs" rockers anyways. seems they all do.

Re: Threshold of the door?

I would consider the threshold of the door to be the piece circled in the picture...which would essentially be the portion of the cab where the floor meets the rocker.

So I would guess that there would be issues with the outer floor, the inner rocker and the outer rocker (and potentially the cab supports and A pillar metal)...

I borrowed the pic from the F/S section.

Re: Threshold of the door?

I think she said there was a little rust on the door sill itself from what i was getting, because she was saying that the part is replaceable, but I will have to find out when I get to see it.
