Re: Quick Question

Actually, there is a certain way to release the nob and shaft as a single unit, but I am at a loss at the moment. I'll get back if someone has not done so by then.

Re: Quick Question

The set screw is only on the wiper. To get the light switch knob off you will need to reach your hand up under your dash until you can feel the top of you wiper switch that is behind the cluster. You will feel a small metal button. Push the button down and pull the light switch knob out at the same time. The knob and shaft will come out together.

Re: Quick Question

2 notes since I just did this 4 times over the weekend between two trucks...remove/install and remove/install on the other one.

1. the button needs to be pressed when the light switch is pulled out (lights on position) - then it pulls right out.

2. be sure to plug the light switch back in when you have removed the dash - or pull the battery/fuse to prevent killing the battery.
