BBC Chevelle headers on pu
Read about running BBC Chevelle headers on PU. Keeps them up higher in chassis and not hanging down low.
Question about fit on PU. When installed do they allow you to run pipes inside frame rails and will they run threw brace at back of engine, The little pocket between main crossmember and brace or do you have to route around it or remove brace all together.? I would like to run them now with the 3spd and hopefully install so as to clear auto trans in future. If possible w/o temp install of auto. Dang thing weighs like 350 lbs.

Re: BBC Chevelle headers on pu
Way back when I built an 84 Chevy 1/2 ton. Was 4wd, dunno what you have. But I swapped to a big block, 4-speed with hydro clutch. I put headers on it that were supposedly off a Chevelle, dunno what year but guessing 68-72. They fit OK, but the slave cylinder was a pain. They did tuck up in the frame nice, that's all I remember.
