I think you can go online to trucks.com and buy it? I know it will cost you, but at least you could have it.

Last time I checked, TrucksTV wasn't selling copies of their shows?

Re: Copper head DVD

I've got 3 episodes on my DVR, the chassis buildup, engine, and the final debut. Still waiting on the others to air. I wish there was a way to transfer from the DVR to a tape or something. Eventually they're going to get erased.....

Re: Copper head DVD

I'm pretty sure that Moneyguru was the member handling this. He just posted the other day. I have three episodes recorded from DVR and re-ripped to an unencrypted form that were passed along.

It should be easy actually.
Just hook the output of the dvr into the input of the VCR and then the output of the vcr into the input on the tv. Start playing the show and hit record. I don't have a dvr but i can't imagine it would be too different.
Hope this helps

Do you know his progress by chance?

Re: Copper head DVD

Not a clue! Meanwhile, I bought a TiVo and I'm recording every episode I can, even reruns. I'm hoping for the best...

Re: Copper head DVD

DVR? = Digital video recorder?

If the format is already digital, why not try to burn it to DVD's.

It sure would make it easier to make "back-up copies" and to transport them to a "family member" in the mail.

If you can explain what technical obsticles you are having, maybe I can help.

I have a DirecTivo, and from what I understand the storage format for Tivo is encrypted to stop this exact thing. They don't want you to duplicate shows and distribute them, at least not in digital format. But, my Tivo does have a "Save to VHS" option, which I haven't used but that would at least get the shows off the DVR..
