Looking for exhaust system for 71 Chevy P10
Anyone know of a good source for an exhaust system for a 71 Chevy P10? See pic. Maybe a kit?
It has a 250 inline 6 cylinder. Have been to NAPA and Autozone and they say its not available to order. Have called a few local muffler shops and they weren't much help. I want to buy the pipes and muffler and do the install myself. thanks |

You must not have gone to a shop that bends their own. They can do anything. I hve mine custom made to my specs over off the shelf. If you can find a listing somewhere for a 2wd Blazer,I'd wager that would work, unless something in the forward controls interferes.

try LMC truck. They sell bolt together exhaust. You may have to change length on a piece or two, but I bet the kit for a swb pickup would be really close. I think they are fairly cheap, too.

That should work, unless the steering or shift linkage is different from trucks and in the way. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that P10s are built on K/5 frames. When i got pre-made exhaust years ago I know they just made one kit and you cut shorter for SWB and K/5

Re: Looking for exhaust system for 71 Chevy P10
There is a shop in Tarrant that did mine on the 87 Silverado. Cost $250 for header install and dual 40 series flowmasters exiting behind rear tires. They bend the pipes there. Can't remember the name but if you head north on 79 it's on the left hand side.

Re: Looking for exhaust system for 71 Chevy P10
For what it is worth, I have the LMC setup on my 71 K20, of course it is a 350, but they quality is not bad for the price. Everything fit together well and it came with plenty of hardware to hang it, actually more than enough. I am using it as a temp setup just so I can move the truck around while I restore it, but it really isn't bad. I have a video if you want to see it, really not comparing apples to apples, but you could get an idea.
