I'd have to say no. The font, for one, is not from the era but maybe post '75.
I do have to say, It does look nice sitting in there. If it aint broke don't fix it.

Lots of aftermarket radios for shaft-style mounting were sold to replace the AM radios that became obselete in the mid-70's in most of the small radio market areas. Bigger cities, like NYC, SF, etc., that had FM broadcasting capabilities in the '60's had a better record of a vehicle having an AM/FM radio from the factory.
But those who told you it is aftermarket are right. Sears may not have sold that particular one, but I know they sold a bunch of 'em.

so the dash was probably cut to fit it in? would it be am fm? |

On mine they put an adapter plate on there and the aftermarket stereo fit without cutting.
Yours might have the same plate. I'd show you a pic but it's embarrassing.

they may have nibbled a little on the shaft holes.
Kinda hard to tell if it is an AM/FM... I only see one scale on the lens. |

they replaced the anntena so that could mean that it could be am/fm

do you see am and fm on the scale?
is there a way to turn it from am to fm? They probably added an antenna, since it was probably a truck with no radio from the factory, was there one listed on the SPID? The stock antenna woulda plugged right into the new radio. |
