Restored 1981-85 vent windows

I’ve been restoring 1967-72 vent windows on the forum for over 10 years. As a result I’ve started to do the 1973-91

Up for sale a pair of restored Vent Window Assemblies that will fit 1981-85 Chevrolet & GMC Pickups, Blazers and Suburbans.

The rebuild includes a complete disassembly and inspection for worn or broken parts which are replaced. We use high quality parts in the restoration. We replace the weatherstripping and both locking handles with new ones. The tinted glass is new as well. Most of the misc small parts are re-cadmium plated or phosphate coated. At the top and bottom I use pop rivets for 2 reasons. The first it is a tighter fit, and we have the clearance for fitment.

All the black trim has been power coated with a gloss finish.

This is a high quality restoration and far superior to the reproductions that are currently on the market.

Price is $600.00 plus shipping via UPS.

I accept checks, MO's and PayPal.

Please email with any questions or need additional pictures. I also can restore yours.

It will take 2-3 weeks to do them. I will see if I have cores.

That's some tough luck. I wish you the best in getting back to "normal."

Re: Restored 1981-85 vent windows

This may seem like a really simple question but when installed in the door, does the rubber "tuck in" or "flare out" over the sheet metal of the door
I've seen it done both ways.

Re: Restored 1981-85 vent windows

Sorry, another silly question... how are 81-87 vent windows different from 73-80? I am converting an 82 cab to a 73/74 style and will need my vent windows redone. Should I send you my 73’s from my donor truck or the ones out of my 82 when the time comes?

The lowe is different. The early mount is at the bottom of the run. The later is about 4" to 5" higher up. Also the stricker is longer.
